I know I have not posted a blog in quite a while but I have decided this year is going to be full of changes for me. This may not mean I post a blog every week or day, this means I am going to work on the changes I want for myself. I am a visual and kinesthetic learner, this means I learn from pictures and words on paper as well as doing things myself. Here is a list of some goals I will be working on this year to keep me motivated:
Lose weight (reach target weight of 165 pounds)
Get all A's in classes this semester
Find a balance between my old self and new self
I have been telling myself that i will lose weight every year and it hasn't happened yet. Last year I bought the Insanity workout program and started a few days but just couldn't keep up because of my knee pain. I have been taking Glucosamine supplements to help with this so I have no excuse this year. My sister, Angelica, and her fiance, Piotr, are doing Insanity as well so we have each other for support and to keep each other motivated.
Me getting all A's in classes is a must, I know I like learning new things but I just can't focus during the lectures (visual and kinesthetic learner after all, not auditory). This year I am taking a business computer class that shows us how to take notes using OneNote in Microsoft. I can't believe it is so easy to use! I will try using this program since it lets me include pictures in the notes and I can write side notes as well as other amazing features.
The last goal may seem weird but I have figured out why I am stressing myself so much in my personal life. I realized there are two different lifestyles I have created: my life before CSU (high school, Polish culture, high school friends, etc) and after CSU (different friends, American culture, etc.). I do not mean to sound like I am complaining about all the different things but I do need to find a balance between all of, well, ME. Finding time for friends, outings, family, Tommy, and myself is a priority this year. Since I plan on getting married in January next year, I need to pull myself together and figure out what I need to do before then.
This is the start of Improving Myself, and I will accomplish my goals this year!
Sounds like you have some Great Goals! I hope all is well with you and Tommy. I am sure you won't have a problem getting A's! Insanity seems extremely Hard! I applaud you for doing it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Sorry for the late reply, I am still trying to figure out all this blogging stuff but I'm getting the hang of it!
