Looking for a Camera

Since Lili decided to dissect my camera a while ago, I've been picture-less for a while. My phone can take pictures but I just don't like using my phone to be honest, for anything haha I've been looking into a few different cameras but can't decide on which one. I want a camera that is built for taking outdoors: waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, just pretty much Jessica proof. Here are some that I have found:

Canon PowerShot D10

Olympus Stylus Tough 8010
The Tough 8010 is not the only model I've been looking at but I didn't want to put all of the pictures on here, I've also been looking at the TG-810 and TG-610.
Lumix DMC TS3

These are the ones I found that have the features I want. There's pros and cons to all of them and I would really like to have the Lumix because it has a built in compass, altimeter, barometer, and GPS! It also has a price of about $260.00 but that's not that bad, the Stylus is about $380.00 on their website. I would rather not get the Canon because, well, honestly it's not that pretty. I would rather have someone help me pick because once I get a camera, I'll find out something about a different one and wish I could have gone with that one...

I'll post the links to the websites of all three of them just for your enjoyment.

If anyone has any waterproof, etc. cameras or know of any others, please let me know. Thanks :)

Home-Made Gulasz (Goulash)

I tried recreating the gulasz my mom makes at home but unfortunately American stores do not carry many Polish items. There is one good thing about that, I love making new dishes from scratch and here was another opportunity! Which is not always a good thing for my wallet and this time it was on strike. So here is what gulasz consists of when there are limited ingredients available:

Pot Roast
Broccoli
Potatoes
Sweet Onions
Baby Carrots
Baked Beans
Mushrooms
Flour
Barbeque Sauce
Honey

Cut up the meat into cubes and boil it in a pot. This will help get the fat and blood out of it.
Then, fry the meat in some olive oil with diced onion.
In a slow cooker, put in the meat, onions, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, and baked beans (I used Bush's Baked Beans).
Cook on high for about half a day.
Then, I scooped up enough of the broth from the slow cooker into a cup to fill it up halfway and mixed it with some flour. Keep doing this until the sauce gets to the consistency you want.
Add enough BBQ sauce and honey for taste.
Put the slow cooker on high again until dinner time.

I didn't put how much of each ingredient I put in because I have no idea. All I know is that it came out quite delicious. The baked beans were brown sugar and bacon flavored so I wanted to make the whole thing taste like sweet BBQ, that is why I put the honey in there. It may sound gross to some but honey brings the flavor out in many foods, I even put it in my coffee. I only used maybe 1 - 1 1/2 cups of flour, it was put in there just to make the gravy/sauce thicker. There was enough for Tommy and I to last for days. I made it on Friday and there is still half of it left today.

Falling Off The Wagon...

So it's been a while since I've written a blog, not like anyone is reading it and making note of it. I've been falling off the band wagon about eating right and exercising... I just need to kick my butt out of the condo and get to the gym. Once I start seeing results then that will keep my motivated but right now I don't feel like doing anything. Tommy is on a hunting trip, he left Friday night and won't be back until Wednesday some time. I'm just sitting in the condo playing computer games, being a socially deprived nerd. Tomorrow I am determined to clean the place though and get things organized. It has been so messy but I know that once I clean it will get dirty again when Tommy's back... Okay, I'm off to bed.
